Keith Rook, of Littleton, braved the cold to give blood Jan. 31 at Village Fitness near the intersection of Happy Canyon Road and Highway 85 in Castle Rock.

Rook is a meat cutter at Tony's Meats, which is located in the same plaza. He said it's not his first time giving blood.

Bonfils Blood Center sponsored the blood drive. About a dozen people showed up.
