One last home run!
Contributed by: Garrett Spradlin on 8/16/2007

This past school year, I ended up taking a class at Douglas County High School that changed my life forever.

I met 10 fellow classmates and a teacher that I am now proud to call "friends." I am now be a junior (11th grade) at DCHS and I am already realizing that the four years of high school really are "the best years of your life."

Of those 10 students, seven of them graduated to move on to their college years and the rest of their lives. The teacher transferred schools and I may never see these people again and that is why I am asking for the 11 tickets.

I wish to bring all of them with me for "one last home run" before it's too late. I knew that they were leaving and yet it still was unreal, until now.

Back to school I went but they weren't there. I have tried to keep in touch with them but everyone knows how that goes.

I don't know if all of these people know how much I am going to miss them, and to me I don't want to regret anything in life. We were all together for one year, and one year flew by really fast.

I know we all enjoyed each other even with the petty high school "crap" that may of happened at times, but with me as the youngest It's hard to see them all leave.

So to Christi, Laura, Mandy, Ian, Dennis, Allen, and Landon I wish you the best on your careers, futures, and lives, and THANK YOU for everything.

Hope to see you all soon and keep in touch!
