Todd Helton, :) need I say more???? I deserve to watch the Rockies because of my love for the game, the Rockies and Todd Helton. Who doesn't deserve to see the hottest looking team in baseball?
I have always been a baseball fan, ever since I would get free tickets as an elementary students for good grades. I used to watch the Denver Zephrys with my Aunt at the old Mile High Stadium.
When Colorado became home of the Rockies, it was back to the baseball games my Aunt and I would go. My favorite player was Walt Weiss. Truly a role model in all aspects. Whether they would win or lose, I would be watching every minute, cheering on my favorite team.
My dedication for the Rockies never dimmed. I always kept hope for the day to see them in the World Series. That prayer came true last year. I was so excited about seeing Todd Helton in the World Series, I even talked co-workers from other States to try for tickets. Surely people from New York to California had a chance getting tickets, more so than the people in Colorado. I felt very lucky. I knew I had a good chance to score tickets.
If it wasn't me, surely one of my co-workers in other States would. Then the Rockies system crashed, and tickets had to go back on sale the next day. Low and behold that next day, at the exact moment lines were open for tickets, mysteriously my companie's network went down, as well as my dream. Once the tickets sold out, a miracle happened and our network was back up.
No miracle for me. No tickets. I felt cheated and defeated, especially knowing a Colorado native was beat out by people in Wyoming?? When does Wyoming ever beat Colorado in anything? I guess when it comes to getting World Series tickets. :(
When I heard about this chance to get some Rockies tickets, I had to try. This would definitely make up for not getting World Series tickets. I would love to take my parents and co-workers to not only see Coors Stadium, but a chance for them to watch a live game.
Nothing gives a person a more of an amazing feeling than to experience a live game. Maybe my luck will turn around.
Go Rockies!!
Your Fan,
Jean
