A jewel in the Larkspur woods
Contributed by: Michael Robinson on 12/13/2006

Larkspur Pizzaria and Cafe
8815 Spruce Mountain Road
Larkspur

Picture-postcard neighborhoods grace the heavily wooded town of Larkspur, Colorado; neighborhoods that contain the highest property values in the state. Its inhabitants are a new kind of Colorado pioneer escaping the busyness of both the city and the suburb.

Now, a recent addition to Larkspur is spicing up life with a culinary flare. It is Larkspur Pizzaria and Cafe, the first true restaurant for Larkspur, a jewel in the woods with an actual chef, Eric Bagdasarian.

When we visited Larkspur Pizzaria and Cafe, Chef Eric prepared the restaurant's Signature Dish, a magnificent Calzone so big it fell over the sides of the plate. Said the chef: "I've eaten five calzones in seven different states in the last 2 months and I do like mine the best."

As Colorado continues to be settled, more new places like Larkspur Pizzaria, owned by David and Pamela Palm, longtime Larkspur residents, will rise to the occasion... so Signature Dishes of Colorado will be busy visiting them all.

there was not much research done on this story before it went into print. If michael would have drove a block down the road he would have found the true jewel in Larkspur, THE SPUR OF THE MOMENT!! They have daily specials with delicious homemade soups everyday that are prepared by a chef with 25 years of experience. Our favorite time to go is Friday night when they have the best prime rib dinner i have ever had. That is where you should start lookin for the true jewel in yhe woods of Larkspur.

Escaping the busyness? Not so sure about that. After living here in Larkspur 10+ years, I must say most of the residents add to the busyness, in a hurry to get to their jobs at the Tech Center...or wherever... in the am. And in twice as much a hurry to finish their commute home in the pm. As Colorado continues to be settled??? And what constitutes settled? Manhattan??? Still despite my doubts about your descriptions, I must say the Larkspur Pizzeria, owned by my neighbors and friends the Palms, cooks up a fine pizza.....
