User sounds off on Castle Rock Post office
Contributed by: Rosie Lohnert on 1/26/2006

I am so glad you are asking for comments about our community. Our Post Office is in a mess. The people that work there are doing their job, however, it is a month after Christmas, and we still spend 20 to 30 minutes standing in line. What is wrong with the system. I feel really sorry for the moms with two active toddlers trying to get stamps. It seems at  prime times, like lunch hours, the personnel takes a mega break. These are the peak hours for the working class too. It used to be we at least could sit down after taking a number and wait our turn. The benches are still there, but don't you dare sit down, you'll loose your space in the queue. The benches are really in the way , facing the wrong way and not serving any purpose. Could you just stop by at the post office of Castle Rock and check it out for yourselves. People are very disgruntled about these long lines.  Maybe it takes a newspaper to sort it out. Talking to the Postmaster certainly hasn't helped. He just gives very gentle lip service but no action.  Castle Rock is a growing community and the Post Office needs to adjust to this growth. Help please, Sincerely, Rosie Lohnert
