Online voter guide available
Contributed by: Paul Thompson on 10/8/2006

The Douglas County Democratic Party has developed a new online voter guide at www.douglasdemocrats.org. Here you will find information and maps on recommended mail-in and early voting; a listing of state and local ballot measures with our positions; and our slate of candidates, with their web sites, newspaper profiles, and even videos.

Our Executive Committee has voted to support our School Board, teachers, and parents by favoring Issues 3A and 3B (school funding) and opposing Referendum J and Amendment 39 (one-size-fits-all school budgeting). We are proud to help our neighbors by voting for Referendum I (domestic partnerships) and against Amendment 43. While Amendment 41 (ethics in government) is a bit heavy, we believe it is past time for serious action on official corruption.

You will also find a candidate slate that would be the pride of any county and any party: professionally qualified, smart and temperate, these candidates are non-ideological problem-solvers, willing and able to reach across party lines to help build a healthy competitive state and national economy, and provide a new generation of productivity and service quality in county government.

Everyone of every party is welcome to take advantage of our voter guide. Please visit today.
