Thanks to Elephant Rock officers and volunteers
Contributed by: Jamie Medina on 7/12/2006

I was a participant in the Elephant Rock Bicycling Ride on Sunday, June 4, 2006. I rode the Century Ride (100 miles). I wanted to truly thank all of the Patrol Officers ( I believe primarily the Douglas County Sheriff's Dept) and the ride Volunteers. The officers really made safety their top priority, and were kind and encouraging to all of the riders. I especially appreciated the officers assistance at major intersections in Douglas County.

All of the aid stations were manned by volunteers that eagerly awaited us, cool drinks and nutrition in hand! You were a saving grace when many of us were in real need! We appreciated your giving of time and encouragement!

Last, but not least, the organizers of the Elephant Rock Ride are to be commended, also. Great ride, great sponsors, and hope that all continues for next year.
