Byron Yost's post that appeared in the print version of Your Hub on page 11c on Thursday, 9/15, was as wrong as it was misinformed. Mr Yost claims that the Federal Department of Homeland Security prevented the Red Cross from entering New Orleans. It is a documented fact, carried by all the mainstream media, that it was the
Louisiana State
Department of Homeland Security that took that action. Mr. Yost should check his facts before posting fairy tales. He should also read the Daily Kos, which he says was his source for this inaccuracy (and is a known leftie propaganda site), with a healthy dose of skepticism from now on. It was the incompetence and hysteria of the state and local officials in Louisiana that caused the problems in New Orleans. Any unnecessary deaths in that area should be laid at their feet.
