Sports: Gerrard Grant, of Castle Rock, was named the Missouri Valley Conference's Player of the Week for March 27. Grant plays right field for the Southern Illinois University Saluki. Grant was a key player in SIU's first-ever series road win at No. 11 Wichita State the weekend of March 24. Grant also was named to the College Baseball Foundation's National Honor Roll on March 28.
