Polo Invitational Benefits Two Charities

The Denver Polo Club ( 6359 Airport Road, Sedalia, CO)will host the 2006 Invitational Polo Tournament to benefit two charities: The Rotary Club of Denver Southeast and the Denver Street School.The tournament spans two days-Saturday, July 8 and Sunday, July 9, 2006.

"Last year, 1800 people attended the tournament," commented Erica Gandomcar, the tournament director."The Invitational has become a signature polo event in the area, benefiting two great charities and featuring top polo players from across the country and around the world."

On Saturday, July 8, festivities begin at 11:00 a.m. with the official greeting and an Argentine barbecue for VIP guests.The polo match starts at 12 noon with a dressage demonstration at 1:00 p.m.After the end of the match and trophy presentation, guests are invited to meet the players while being entertained by Spanish guitar and flamenco dancers.

On Sunday, July 9, VIP attendees will enjoy a champagne brunch starting at 11:00 a.m.The match will begin at 12 noon with equestrian vaulters performing at 1:00 p.m., followed by the popular "Prettiest Hat Contest," "Shoot to Goal" contest, and traditional divot stomping.

In the celebration of horsepower, Bentley Denver will showcase their luxury automobiles on both days.
