It's time once again to get your little ones' names into the Adventure Club preschool and pre-K lottery.
Brought to you by Town of Castle Rock Parks and Recreation, Adventure Club aims to provide a secure, exciting, enriching and nurturing environment for kids to build the solid educational foundations they need in future social and academic endeavors.
The deadline for getting your child's name into the lottery is March 13, the day before the lottery. The state-licensed, continuous school-year programs begin in September and end in May.
Adventure Club preschool is for children ages 3 and 4 who have reached their third birthday by Sept. 15 of that school year. Kids work in small groups to encourage their personal growth and self-esteem. They will learn coordination, concentration, good working habits and attention skills through a curriculum that includes colors, numbers, seasons and an introduction to the alphabet.
The preschool is in session from 9to 11:30 a.m. or 12:15to 2:45 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. There is a $90 registration fee and the first month's tuition is due at registration to hold your child's place. Monthly tuition is $144 for nonresidents, $115 for residents.
Adventure Club pre-K is for children ages 4 and 5, who have reached their fourth birthday by Sept. 15 of that school year. Kids will work to expand their minds with new ideas and build their self-esteem, while preparing for entrance into kindergarten. Science, pre-math, and pre-reading are strongly emphasized through a curriculum that includes science experiments, creating and telling stories, word and alphabet recognition and phonograms, music, movement, art and dramatic play.
Pre-K is in session from 9 to 11:45 a.m. or 12:15 to 3 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There is a $90 registration fee and the first month's tuition is due at registration to hold your child's place. Monthly tuition is $188 for nonresidents, $150 for residents.
