Have you ever wondered who lives in the slate blue tri-level around the corner or in the apartment across the courtyard with that cute chihuahua named Chaz? It could be a Castle Rock 'n' Roller! Roller Derby has invaded Castle Rock and a league of 20 plus short-skirted, fishnetted, quad-skating women are introducing flat track roller derby to Douglas County. Their debut bout will be held on Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Events Center. Check out their

How did you heard about the Castle Rock 'n' Rollers and what made you join?
Ironically enough, I heard about the Castle Rock 'n' Rollers from my very own mother (now teammate) Sexy Mother Pucker. We are one of few mother/daughter duos across the nation. We had been introduced to Roller Derby through my sister who skates on the Ole Rollers in Olympia, WA. Their team is 2nd in the nation and definitely inspiring to watch. Needless to say, it was an easy decision when we found out about the Castle Rock 'n' Rollers.
If you have a derby name how did you get it or what does it mean to you?
Coming up with your derby name is one of the hardest things about derby in my opinion. My name came about as a total fluke. In order to log in to my work computer I have to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and then type in my logan information. That's how i got the idea. I liked that it was something different from the usual derby names.
What is your worst roller derby injury thus far?
Well, *knock on wood* I have been lucky enough to have not been seriously injured yet this season. Since we skate on polished concrete when you fall, you fall hard.
What are your two favorite things about derby?
Being able to release my pent up aggression, and roller skates.

Where do you see the sport of Roller Derby in five years?
In 5 years, Roller Derby will probably be as popular as
American Idol and will be one of the most watched television programs in America :)
What would you tell someone who doesn't know about derby to get them to come to a bout?
What?! You've never heard of Roller Derby? Imagine a basketball game where all the women are on roller skates, in short skirts and tights, and instead of scoring baskets we have 1 girl skating laps to score points, trying not to get knocked down by the opposing team.To make things interesting,imagine that hitting is legal, totally encouraged, and executed often. Now that's good girl on girl action.
