Skate park to host Warped Tour preliminary event

Grindwell Indoor Skatepark, Castle Rock's only indoor skatepark, will play host to the 2006 Vans Warped Tour preliminary Mini-Ramp Skate Jam July 1, at 12 noon.

All ages are invited to attend and participate. Those who qualify in this challenge will be invited to participate in the Skate Jam held at the Warped Tour on July 23 at 3 King's Tavern in Denver.

This year marks thesecond annual Mini-Ramp Skate Jam, presented by Vans, Lost Energy and Eastpak. This contest is featured at each stop on the Vans Warped Tour and cash prizes will be awarded daily as 20 to 25 local pre-qualified skaters shred the mini-ramp for fun and money.

Registration for this prequalification is at 12 noon and the entry fee is $15. Contestants under the age of 18 must have a parent present and helmets must be worn by all riders.
