Rox take home state championship


The Colorado Rox (Castle Rock, Colorado) 9U/Majors baseball team won the USSSA State Championship on July 5 and earned a berth to the USSSA World Series this August in Orlando, Florida. The Rox played 7 games over the 3-day tournament and went on to beat the Longmont Outlaws to win the State Championship. The Colorado Rox also played in the Triple Crown State Championship this past weekend and beat the Parker Sky Sox in the first game 17-8, and beat them for the State Championship 11-5. The Rox will be playing in the upcoming Triple Crown World Series in Steamboat Springs, Colorado on July 27-August 1, 2009.
