Planning for college can be majorly stressful. There's a lot you have to do: find the right school, get in, figure out how to pay for it. But you don't have to sweat it when you use websites like www.studentedge.com.

Peterson's StudentEdge is a free online college and career planning resource center currently in use in more than 1,700 US high schools and accessible to more than 1 million students. StudentEdge provides high school students with the tools they need to take ownership of the college planning process.

Students and their parents can sign up for StudentEdge, which assigns a customized task list to students based on their future goals, grade level, and time of year.

StudentEdge is just for you. A customized task list tells you what you need to do and when-so there's no guesswork. You'll have access to tools that will let you:

  • Find scholarship money
  • Find the right college
  • Prep for exams like the SAT* and ACT®any time, 24/7
  • Explore potential careers
  • Get in-depth help with your homework and studying
  • Learn from the pros

Students and their parents can find more information about getting into college at a September 22nd online event. It's a great opportunity for students in grades 9 through 12 and their parents to talk to the experts about college admission, financial aid, scholarships, and test prep. Go to www.studentedge.com and click on College Planing Day for more information.

I wish I had this kind of help when I was in high school!
