The Denver Rescue Mission will host the inaugural Women Who've Changed the Heart of the City, a high-tea highlighting the heart and passion of five remarkable women who have shown great dedication to making Denver a better place. The event will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11 th, in the grand ballroom of the Brown Palace. Honorees are Tamara Banks, Dr. Patricia Gabow, Jean Galloway, Georgia Imhoff, and Cleo Parker Robinson.

Women Who've Changed the Heart of the City is both a fundraiser and friend-raiser event, drawing on Denver's rich history and the vision and commitment these women have devoted to changing the heart of our city. Gina Shreck, event chairperson, will serve as emcee and the event program will include brief interviews with each of the honorees.

During this tough economic climate, the Mission recognizes that partnerships are essential in bettering our community. This event will provide an opportunity for attendees to network, hear moving and personal testimonies from honorees and leave inspired to continue serving.
