LITTLETON - Thirty seven students from area high schools have received the President's Scholarship for the Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 semesters at Arapahoe Community College. Graduates of Colorado high schools can still apply for the scholarships for the 2008 to 2009 academic year.

ACC president Bert Glandon said he was pleased that the scholarships would help make an education possible for these highly qualified students. "On behalf of Arapahoe Community College, we're extremely pleased to be able to award the President's Scholarship to these high-achieving in-state students," President Glandon said. "We're also very pleased that they have accepted the scholarships and intend to begin their higher education with us."

"Students awarded the scholarships may receive up to 80 percent of ACC tuition and fees for their first year," said recruiting specialist Emily Dovi. Students must have recently graduated from a Colorado high school and must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 or higher.

"We are still offering scholarships to students, and at this point 37 have accepted," Dovi said. "The awarding of the scholarship is ongoing, so we will continue to award it for the upcoming school year." To apply for the scholarship, students should submit an application for admission to Arapahoe Community College and attach a copy of their high school transcript.
