Borders New Concept Store Comes To Park Meadows
Contributed by: Jeff Neuman on 5/13/2008

A Whole New "Concept" in Shopping is Coming to Colorado!

Borders will celebrate the grand opening of its newest concept store beginning Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1. The new store is located in Lone Tree at County Line Road and I-25 in The Vistas, a new expansion of the Park Meadows Shopping Center. The 29,982-square-foot concept store represents a significant enhancement over existing Borders stores, integrating digital and Internet features with what customers have come to love and expect from Borders - wide selection, knowledgeable staff, and an inviting atmosphere. The Lone Tree store is one of only 14 concept stores opening anywhere in the nation this year.

Throughout the weekend-long grand opening celebration, Borders will be highlighting its newly created Destinations within the concept store-Cooking, Travel, Wellness, Graphic Novels and Children's- with special activities, in-store performances, and prizes. These categories are so popular and rapidly growing that Borders has designated them as special Destinations and given these categories their own "shop within a shop" look and feel.

During the grand opening and all year-long, customers can explore the new Digital Center - marked by a three-dimensional, 12-foot illuminated fixture with multiple computer kiosks and stations dedicated to digital services - and do everything from download music on demand using Mix and Burn ™; trace their family roots via Borders' exclusive "Discover Your Family History" by Ancestry.com ®; create personalized photo books with Shutterfly.com; and publish their own books using "Borders Personal Publishing Powered by Lulu.com ®."

Also during the grand opening weekend, Borders will give away such prizes as a "Go Digital!" gift package, two $250 Borders gift cards, a $300 collection of current cookbooks, a Seattle's Best Coffee $200 gift basket, a $230 collection of current wellness books, a copy of Neil Gaiman's "The Absolute Sandman Vol. 1,"and a Paperchase $200 gift bag filled with stationery, cards and gifts.
