Arapahoe/Douglas Works! opens doors to job seekers and businesses
Residents and businesses invited to attend July 9 Open House to learn current job market trends and how A/D Works! can help
Greenwood Village, Colo.- Residents and businesses are invited to attend the Arapahoe/Douglas Works! Open House, 4- 7 p.m., July 9. Attendees can attend various workshops to learn current job market trends, the role of human capital in the Metro Denver region, wage and labor statistics and to find out which industries are experiencing the most growth.
Attendees also can take advantage of how they or their company can benefit from the wide variety of A/D Works!programs and services that strengthen the Metro Denver region's workforce. These programs include the 50+ & Fabulous Center, designed to meet the specific needs of the mature job seeker age 50 and older, and Youth in the Works!, which helps youth, ages 14 - 21, plan and develop their future. Arapahoe/Douglas Works! also offers the RATE program, which puts welfare recipients on a Rapid Attachment To Employment track
The event celebrates the WorkforceCenter's move into a regional center that is better equipped to serve the entire Metro Denver Area.
"Investing in human capital for sustained economic vitality is the mission of A/D Works! and positioning the workforce center in the south metro area economic hub supports this goal 100 percent," said Arapahoe County Commissioner Jim Dyer.
A/D Works! is now located in the COBankCenter, 5500 S. Quebec St., Ste. 175 in GreenwoodVillage and is conveniently located on RTD's Light Rail Orchard Station. Tours of the
