Not such a mystery - the poor kid was cutting through the Willow Creek neighborhood on his way home from the light rail station, took an ill-advised shortcut through one of the residents' yards, and got a hole blown in him for his trouble. Not a very neighborly thing to do, of course, but it was dark and the kid did have long hair. I can't believe the police have taken this long to figure this one out.
