Straight Up with Swalm
Tuesday, May 20, 2008
7:30 am - 9:00 am
The South Metro Chamber would like to invite you to Straight Up with Swalm, a townhall meeting with Colorado State Representative
Spencer Swalm
. This month's guest speakers will be
Penn Pfiffner
, an economist with the conservative Independence Institute, and
Wade Buchanan
, president of the liberal Bell Policy Center.
Penn and Wade will be discussing/debating the direction Colorado should be taking now that the end of Referendum C is in view. The proposed ballot initiative to end the spending restraints of TABOR in exchange for a reduction in the K-12 spending mandates of Amendment 23 will be the jumping off point.
Regardless of where you come down on the issues, this will be an informative, lively event that you don't want to miss.
For more information please call Jeremy at 970.379.9572.
Directions:
The South Metro Denver Chamber Center is located in the Cherry Knolls Shopping Center on the southeast corner of Arapahoe Road and University Boulevard. We are in the stand-alone building to the south of Safeway. Enter through the South Door.
