A team of trained and experienced assessors representing the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) will be conducting a re-accreditation assessment of the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office from Aug. 22 through 26. The CALEA assessment team is responsible for verifying the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office's level of compliance with internationally recognized law enforcement standards of performance.
The CALEA assessment team's evaluation of the Triple Crown Accredited Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office will include an examination of the diverse equipment used to serve the people of our community.
In conjunction with the evaluation, Sheriff Grayson Robinson is inviting the public to participate in a Sheriff's Office Open House. The Open House and equipment display will be held on Sunday ,August 23, from 10 a.m. untilnoon at 13101 East Broncos Parkway, Centennial.
The display will include vehicles and equipment from the following Sheriff's Office specialty units: Mobile Command Post, Bomb Squad, Hazardous Materials, Special Response Unit (SWAT), and Mobile Crime Lab (CSI). Traffic, detention, and telecommunication vehicles will be exhibited, as well as snow mobiles and all terrain equipment. Additionally, there will be information available regarding unique programs utilized by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, such as Colorado Life Trak, COPLOGIC, Graffiti Removal, the Citizen Emergency Response Team (CERT), Victim Assistance, Explorer Post, and Community Resources. Recruiting materials will be on hand for individuals who are interested in acquiring information about the employment opportunities within the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office.
