Swalm Cites Business Experience Rather than Political Experience
Jim O'Connor
, owner of Gases and Arc Supply, wrestles with health care, regulatory and compliance issues, similar to most small business owners. With health care costs seeing annual double digit increases, Jim needed someone who could navigate the turmoil and understand all the issues of small business owners. He turned to
Spencer Swalm
, owner of Redstone Benefit Systems and Republican candidate for Colorado House District 37.
"Spencer has really understood our group of workers and is looking out for us," said Jim. “He is someone with a knowledge of business, law and health care -- and someone we can trust to steer us in the right direction regarding our health benefits."
"I think Spencer will do a great job at the Capitol because he understands businesses and the unique realities of small business owners,” Jim continued. “Politicians are so clueless... passing this, passing that. I didn't go into business to deal with this garbage. But, our business has found an ally with Spencer Swalm."
In the term limit climate of Colorado, many candidates jump from one political office to another. Swalm’s biggest strength may be that he is not an "experienced politician," rather a Colorado native, entrepreneur, seasoned local businessman, and family man. Swalm says, “I will represent neighbors in HD 37 with common-sense solutions. I'm not looking for just my next political office. Rather, I'm interested in serving regular citizens like you and me.”
About Spencer Swalm
Swalm brings a unique blend of health care and business perspectives, and the freshness of a true citizen legislator. "Working for Colorado, working for you," sums up his commitment to business, health care and families - the recurrent themes in the Swalm campaign.
Spencer is an industry leader in health insurance and owner of Redstone Benefits Systems, Inc., an employee benefits firm that works with Colorado companies. Spencer’s advocacy for the cause of affordable health insurance for small businesses and their employees has been recognized by the Colorado affiliate of the National Federation of Independent Business.
Spencer is an active leader in Arapahoe County and across Colorado. He is a proven champion of limited government and low taxes. Spencer’s priorities include: strong families, affordable health insurance, quality education for all kids and good jobs for Colorado families.
