Contributed by: Jamie DeBartolomeis on 11/9/2007

Centennial, Colo., -- Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Network's (ADMHN) 3rd annual "Raising Spirits" Wine Tasting and Auction on Nov. 1 raised more than $35,000 for uninsured and under-insured individuals in need of mental health and substance abuse treatment services.

"We're thrilled to have additional funds that will allow us to provide treatment services for even more individuals in need," said Scott Thoemke, ADMHN's executive director and chief executive officer.

Nearly 200 people attended the fundraiser at The Sanctuary Golf Course in Sedalia. Major sponsors were Davidsons Liquors and Citywide Banks. Special guest Sen. Tom Wiens conducted the live auction, which included a foursome at The Sanctuary Golf Course and an African safari. Guests bid on 40 silent auction items including "Brewmaster for a Day" at the New Belgium Brewery, "Spend the Day with the K-9 Unit," and "Spend the Day as a Firefighter."

Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Network, founded in 1955, is a private, non-profit organization that provides comprehensive mental health and substance abuse treatment services to individuals of all ages.
