Fall at St. Mary's Glacier

We took a ride up Fall River Road on Sunday, Sept. 23rd. The Aspen were near their peak in many areas along the road. I have taken this road only once before many years ago. We parked at the base of the trail to St. Mary's Glacier and I hiked up to the Glacier Lake and the Base of the Glacier. There were skiiers and snowboarders on the Glacier. The lake was very still. The reflections from the fall colors on the mirror surface of the lake were fantastic.

This is just a short drive from Denver and the fall colors were as good as I've seen anywhere else in the State. My photos can be seen on my web site at:
