Birth would have to wait
Contributed by: JD Pumphrey on 12/16/2006

I went into labor with my first son, Jackson on Monday, September 26, 2005. Around 5 p.m., my labor started to progress rather quickly and my doctor wanted to help speed things along.

But Denver was playing Kansas City on national television that night, so I told the doctor to do whatever he needed to do to make sure my kid DIDN'T come out BEFORE, or DURING that game. He was happy to oblige, as I was his only patient, and he wanted to see the game just as bad as I did.

After we won the game, he gave me some drugs to help get me going, and my son was born very early the next morning (1:47am). Sadly, I made my son wait to make his entrance into the world until AFTER the game!
