Your Hub,
We are originally from Australia and have been living in Denver since 2005. The last 2 years have been incredible for us as a family and that is why I would like to win the Rockies Suite.
The Rockies Suite would be an awesome way for us as a family to thank our friends who have welcomed us and made our new home so wonderful. From the first day we arrived in our new house, we had neigbors welcoming us with freshly baked cakes and a friendly hug and hand-shake.
It didn't stop on day 1. Shortly after we had settled in to our new neighborhood, we had a blizzard with 13" of snow. All our new friends were around to help us shovel snow and clear the trees which still had all their leaves. After the snow cleared, our yards were a mess with broken tree limbs, but without exception all our new American friends were there to help.
We have constantly been amazed at the generosity and warm heartedness of the American people, we have been able to call friends. In a time when many Americans feel the rest of the world thinks negatively about them because of international events, Americans should be proud of the people they are, generous, caring, and friendly.
I am in the Military as part of the Multi-National force at Buckley AFB. At times my work commitments take me away from home. During these times our friends are a tremendous source of strength and encouragement to my wife and family.
To win the Rockies Suite, I would be able to give back to my American friends in a way I could never normally afford. I see it as a melding of two great American traditions, Baseball and Friendship.
Whether we win or not, we will be forever grateful for the lifelong friendships we have made over the last 2 years, and we will endeavor to return the friendship and generosity to our American friends have showed.
Thank you for the opportunity to win the "Rockies Suite".
