Moving from Indiana to Colorado just over a year ago has been a rough experience - especially for my two young boys. Leaving behind friends and family, moving to a whole new world, and not knowing anyone here at all, has made this a lonely and trying time.
The one thing that has helped a great deal, has been Rockies baseball. I've taken my boys (age 9 and 12), to see the Rockies play the Yankees, Mets, Cubs and Braves. Now, not only do they know all of the hometown players, they know their histories and stats to boot.
Feeling that they "know" the team has helped them feel at home here in Colorado. But as you can imagine, with 5 of us in all, going to as many games as we can gets rather expensive. Nothing would make my boys happier than to sit in a suite, with a few of their friends, watching their favorite baseball team.
Win or lose, I can't thank the Rockies enough for what they mean to my sons.
Sincerely,
Murry Woronoff
