Vote yes for Centennial's Charter
Contributed by: Becky Lennon on 6/2/2008

For five years I had the privilege of representing the 25,000 residents of Ward II on the Centennial City Council. I helped implement solutions to local problems, such as fixing sidewalks and reducing the speed limit in neighborhoods.

Because Centennial is a statutory city, state statute limits the options available to address local issues. This is why all cities in Colorado with a population over 15,000 have voted to become home rule. Centennial's home rule charter gives the city flexibility to craft solutions that make sense and puts the power to make local decisions where it belongs-in the hands of the citizens of Centennial. Please vote yes for Centennial's charter.
