Nursing students need to see more blood!
Contributed by: Sarah Holloway on 11/17/2005

As a nursing student at the new Denver School of Nursing I know how badly my classmates and I need a break.  We are excited to be a part of this new school.  The idea of the school is to help fill Colorado's nursing needs. The majority of our class works and/or has children to care for, which makes us even busier.  We love nursing and will be the first class to graduate with nursing degrees next June.  We are the pioneers of our school.

Most of us also love sports, particularly hockey.  We all could us a little “suite” TLC, just like the care we are learning to provide.  Plus, the truth is nurses are trauma junkies.  We just fit in with hockey.  A hockey game is just like an average night in the ER’s, bleeding and fighting included.  Nursing students can always stand to see more blood.
