Register in August for fall youth sports leagues

The summer temperatures will soon drop, but the City of Aurora's fall sports schedule for youth is just beginning to heat up with a number of league registration deadlines happening in August.

Register by Aug. 20 for the Flag Football League for grades 1 to 6. The six-game season begins Sept. 17, and the cost is $65 ($50 for Aurora residents).

The eight-game season for the Roller Hockey League starts Sept. 9 for youth ages 7 to 17. The cost is $73 ($56 Aurora residents) for ages 7 to 12 and $77 ($59 Aurora residents) for ages 13 to 17.

New Roller Hockey League players may register from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at Play It Again Sports at Tower and Hampden and receive discounts on equipment, or simply register by Aug. 24 on a space-available basis.

The deadline to register also is Aug. 24 for the following additional fall youth leagues:

Fall Boys Baseball League, ages 7 to 14
Six-game season begins Sept. 15. $62 ($48 Aurora residents)

Fall T-ball League, ages 5 and 6
Six-game season begins Sept. 17. $56 ($43 Aurora residents)

Fall Girls Softball League, ages 7 to 14
Six-game season begins Sept. 17. $62 ($48 Aurora residents)

Hot Shot Basketball, preschool and first grade
Six-game season begins Sept. 22. $68 ($52 Aurora residents)
