South Metro Lions 5th grade football is 3-3

For the first time in 4 years, the 5th Grade South Metro Lions Football Team, under the head coach of Dan Simonton, has not only won a game but are 3 and 3 and are looking at a possible slot in the playoffs.

Our team this year is primarily made up of returning team members and are really honing their training to a force to be reckoned with. There are many players who stand out within the team, but without the work of our coaches and the parents, none of this excitement would be possible.

Our remaining games are on our home turf. Saturday Oct. 6th at Goddard Middle School field at 9:00 am and Saturday Oct. 13th at Goddard Middle School at 11:00 am. We would love to see everyone out there. Some folks from the South Jeffco Football Assoc. even operate a snack bar, with reportedly some of the best breakfast burritos around.
