Police blotter: Burglary suspect chased down

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY SUSPECT NABBED
Police arrested a man on suspicion of attempted burglary about 5:58 p.m. Aug. 19. Officers were dispatched to a home on Churchill Drive after receiving a witness report that a suspect was trying to gain entry. Officers took the suspect into custody at the scene after a short foot chase. Police said the unidentified suspect has an extensive criminal history and is believed to be a parole violator from the Department of Corrections. He was lodged in the Arapahoe County Jail to await a court appearance.
