John H. Patterson recently welcomed two new officers to the Cherry Hills Village police department. A swearing-in ceremony was held on January 9, 2008 for Officers
Brian Sapp and
Juan Berber.
According to Patterson, "We're excited because each of these men bring several years of experience to the department. Both have successfully taken on special assignments in the past and that experience is invaluable to the department and will serve our community well."
Brian Sapp comes to the department from the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. He worked as a motorcycle officer in the traffic division and was a member of the SWAT team. Brian is married to
Tami, who is a civil attorney.
Juan Berber joins Cherry Hills Village after working as an Investigator and Drug Task Force agent with the Summit County Sheriff's Office. He has been in law enforcement for 13 years and previously served 13 years in the Army. Juan and his wife
Debbie have been married for ten years and have a daughter,
Maya.
