WHY REUNION?
We've had a bunch of people ask us why my wife and I chose to
live in Reunion
as opposed to other areas of Denver. For those of you considering a new home in Colorado, here are our reasons. (Keep in mind that we were strongly considering a smaller place closer to Denver.)
Price
- In Reunion we got a 2500 sq ft home, brand new, with a yard and a ton of upgrades for the same price as an early 1900's home with 1500 sq ft, low ceilings, small rooms, problems galore and an estimated $1500 in annual repairs.
Space
- The open floor plans and 8-9 ft ceilings make the home feel like it has a LOT more space than the cramped homes near Denver.
Commute
- I know, you feel like you're farther than DIA. But highway 2 gets us to our offices in downtown Denver in a consistent 40 minutes. Ever been stuck in traffic at 120th and tempted to pay the toll each day just to dodge traffic? Compare Reunion to those places in South East Denver where you have at least an hour commute into downtown. Not to mention, they're already more expensive! It only takes us 20 minutes to get downtown if it isn't rush hour.
Community
- It's tough to beat a place that's so family oriented. The people are amazing, the streets and parks are clean, events going on all the time, and a great community rec center to work out in.
HOA's
- How many other places can you find where dues of roughly $50/month will get you neighborhood security, parks, snow removal, and access to an indoor rec center with a full size gym, workout equipment and 2 community pools.
Longevity
- Reunion is a place you can move to and know that you won't have to move for a long time to come. Great homes, a great community and great proximity to Denver. Plus, your home won't require ongoing repairs to old pipes, electrical, flooring, foundation and roof issues.
While this isn't really a Reunion-only selling point, for anyone considering moving to Colorado from out of state...
Colorado
gets over 300 days of sunshine!
I know, I know...we have a reputation for cold and snow. But that's not reality. Typically the mountains get the snow, but in Denver if it snows it usually melts away in 24-48 hours. Indian summers are pretty typical around here.
There are a ton of reasons to take a look at Reunion, so come take a look at it for yourselves and tour the
new homes in Reunion Colorado
.
