Murder unsolved: Commerce City, why, how, who
Contributed by: JAMIE WIELAND   on 11/22/2006

I'm Jamie Wieland, and this is my family's story.

It all seemed to start about a little over three years ago -- two murders in my family within two years, and they as far as I can tell are not related.

During the past three years my mom, Sherry, died of cancer January 16, 2003, my dad, Ron, was murdered by his business partner five months later on June 30, 2003, my little sister Paula died of couses unknown (suicide?) one month later on August 3, 2003, and then my favorite and only big brother George was also murdered December 27, 2005.

This has been a time to definitely try to stop and reflect on all that has happened in such a short amount of time. I have lost all my family, all but two older sisters that quite frankly till my brother George was murdered, I had not seen -- the oldest sister since I was 12 years of age, about 24 years have come and gone, And the other sister I have not seen for about 15 years. So I feel as though I have been left here to walk this life alone.

Is this my punishment for something I have done in my life? I find myself analyzing every aspect of my life. Why was I left here? Is it a blessing or a punishment?

I think I would like all to know why I'm taking the time to share my life and my family's lives with you. I want everyone to hear our side, but mostly I want you to hear my brother George's side. He was murdered in such a brutal manner, two days after Christmas right here in Commerce City, less than a mile from where I live.

I don't want anybody else to be hurt or to have to suffer like my family and I are. These weak, so-called men -- mind you it took three or more of these weak pieces of "stool" to beat half to death and then shoot my brother George Vernon Parks several times at the Clearview Motel room No. 27 off of Highway 2 and Quebec right by the arsenal.

What men, huh?! They are not men, they are monsters, so weak that they could not handle it like a man. No, they went over there, a group of full-grown men, kicked in his door as he was probably sleeping when they got there, beat him so severely and brutally, and then shot him several times.

My brother was for the most part a peaceful man. He told me that he was getting older and that fighting was not what he wanted in his life. My brother weighed maybe 130 and that is probably a big stretch.

Anyway, the reason I'm writing this is because the police have yet to make an arrest in his murder case. My thought on this is deep. Reasons why they have yet to arrest anyone? I don't have the answerer's to that question, so that brings me back to the story.

I'm in hope's that someone will have a heart and read my story and feel maybe some of what me and mine have felt for over the past 11 months and maybe help bring this part of George's life and murder to rest, so we as a family can try to move forward. Until all of this is dealt with, we are all just here not able to move from this place in our hearts and lives.

George has four children -- two boys and two girls. George also has two sweet little grandbabies. They were the reason he lifted his head from his pillow every morning. George also has several sisters, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who miss him and are just as stuck and lost with out him.

George was like a dad to so many in my family. He has several friends and so many that just want answers, so if anyone is reading this who may have information about December 27, 2005, in room 27 at the Clearview Motel off of Highway 2 and Quebec, please contact the Commerce City Police at 303-287-2844 (Detective Zborowski). Total confidentiality is assured. Please, if you're able to bring them to justice and help my family, God would surely bless and keep you.

Thank you. I will continue to add more to our story, please check back often.

Jamie D.W. and family

This story has a lot of fiction to it. Her Brother was not murdered. He was killed in a shoot out he started. I didn't see the part where her Brother shot a bystander in the face in her story.
