HubCap: Time to talk some CU-CSU smack

At about 6:30 p.m. Saturday, the final whistle will be blown on the Rocky Mountain Showdown and the people of Colorado will be divided into two groups: Winners and losers. Of course, there's a third group of people who don't care at all if CU wins or if CSU wins, but for the sake of focusing on what's important, we'll ignore those people for now.

A lot sure has happened in the past seven days. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who could have predicted that Kyle Bell would go down for the season with a knee injury, CU would lose to Montana State in its first game, and three CSU players would have warrants issued for their arrest on bank fraud charges before the game.

That said, there's only about 72 hours left until kickoff. I think it's time we started insulting each other's respective teams (and mothers, if necessary), on both sides of this rivalry. If you need a primer, read this battle of wits between our own Kevin Villegas, a CU alum, and Seth Davis, a CSU alum. You're bound to disagree with one of them. Heck, I don't like either of them, and I have to spend 40 hours a week with them.

If you hate CU, please tell us why in the comments box below or post a story if you can't limit your vitriol to 1,000 characters. If you hate CSU, do the same. I'll be staying in the middle on this one -- my closest allegiance is the University of Montana (not Montana State).

Go ahead, let it fly.

Three guys are in the bathroom. The first guy finishes, washes his hands, and takes a little bit of paper and dries his hands. "I'm a CU grad and we like to take care of the environment." The second guy finishes, washes his hands, and takes a big wad of paper towels and dries his hand. "I'm a CSU grad and we like to make sure things are taken care of thouroughly." The third guy just walks out of the bathroom. "I'm a Wyoming grad. And we don't pee on our hands."
