What:	NEXT › ‹ PREVIOUS Interested in expanding your knowledge of your German heritage? We are a group that maintains, furthers and preserves historical records of Bavarian culture and heritage by means of: Bavarian Gebirgstracht: The official Tracht of the TEV Edelweiss is the Miesbacher Tracht that was worn in the period of the 1850/60s. All parts and articles worn are as authentic and indigenous to the Miesbach region as possible, given the available knowledge and information. Continued research and implementation of necessary changes to the Tracht are of highest priority. Bavarian dance: Schuhplattler and Volkstaenze are researched, documented, taught, and performed. Bavarian music: Volksmusik and Gesang are researched, taught and performed Bayerische instrumente (instruments indigenous to the Bavarian region) are used to ensure authenticity. Bavarian culture: Heimatabende, Weihnachtsprogramme, youth and adult exchange programs educate about everyday life in the Bavarian region.
