CBS4, KCNC-TV-Denver announced today that Gloria Neal is now reporting live during
CBS4 News at 5 a.m. and
CBS4 News at 6 a.m. through the month of August. Neal is giving Colorado viewers a close up look at what's happening in the city during the Democratic National Convention.
"We are so excited to have Gloria join us," CBS4 News Director Tim Wieland said. "Her lively reports really capture the buzz about the DNC for our morning viewers."
Coloradans know Gloria Neal as an award winning personality who has been heard on many local radio stations including on Newsradio 850 KOA as afternoon news anchor, as morning co-host on Jammin 92.5, and as the Denver's only solo female morning show host on Sassy 107.1 FM. In addition, Gloria is a contributing writer for Denver Woman Magazine and blogs for the Denver Post at politicswest.com.
"I'm thrilled to be part of the CBS4 morning show team as we prepare for the DNC," Neal said. "I am heavily involved in the community so reporting on what I'm already seeing and doing is a natural extension."
Neal is an active member of the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce, The Women's Foundation, The Association for Women in Communications, The Mile High United Way, The Colorado Association of Black Journalists, and the National Association of Black Journalists. School and the University of Colorado Buffaloes-Buffs Club. She serves as a speaker and emcee for many local and national events and her community involvement have been featured in The Denver Post, Denver Woman Magazine, the Denver Business Journal, the Rocky Mountain News, 5280 Magazine, In the Black and CORE Magazines.
