Join CBS4 Anchor Karen Leigh in the 21 st annual AIDS Walk Colorado, Presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, in Cheesman Park on Saturday, September 6, 2008.

"CBS4 is proud to sponsor the 2008 AIDS Walk Colorado which raises money to bring an end to AIDS worldwide." CBS4 General Manager Walt DeHaven said. "This event really helps raise the level of awareness in our community and is a support to those living with HIV and AIDS."

The five-kilometer (3.1-mile) fundraising walkathon begins and ends in Denver's beautiful Cheesman Park. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the opening ceremony begins at 10 a.m.

CBS4 viewers are invited to walk with family, friends, co-workers and teammates to raise critically needed funds and to send a clear message that AIDS is still a cause demanding attention.

Over the last 21 years, AIDS Walk Colorado has attracted 163,000 participants who have raised more than $17 million to support the work of 45 AIDS Service and Education organizations throughout Colorado.

AIDS Walk Colorado is the largest AIDS fundraiser in the Rocky Mountain Region, attracting over 7,000 participants a year. It benefits Colorado AIDS Project and the fundraising teams of 30 other AIDS service and education organizations throughout the state of Colorado.
