Incidents reported by Commerce City Police

MAN GIVES FALSE NAME, WHICH HAS TWO ACTIVE WARRANTS
While on patrol in the 8200 block of Quebec Street, a man ran out in front of an officer almost causing the officer to run over him at 11:14 p.m. April 7. Initially, the man gave a false name and date of birth. The false name appeared to have two active warrants. When the man realized this he gave his real name and it was discovered the man still had a warrant for criminal impersonation. As the officer was checking on the man's identity he ran away. The officer caught up to him and after a struggle the man was taken into custody, charged with false reporting, resisting arrest and was transported to Adams County Detention Facility.

MAN REALLY UPSET OVER SLOW DRIVER
Officers were called to the 15700 Block of East 97th Place at 8:50 p.m. April 11. A woman was trying to find the home of her friend who was having a party. She was driving slowly through the neighborhood trying to find the house number and a man in a car behind her began yelling at her to quit driving so slowly. When she explained to him that she was lost he yelled some more. She finally found the house and the woman who was having the party came out and discovered it was her neighbor. She asked the man to calm down. He then threatened both women and when asked if he was going to fight girls he told them to go and get their husbands and he'd beat them up. Eventually they called the police and when they arrived the man yelled obscenities at the officers and began resisting arrest. He was taken to the police department and processed and eventually taken to Adams County Detention Facility.

HOUSE PARTY TURNS INTO SHOOT-OUT
Officers responded to a call of shots fired at East 68th and Locust Street at 1:01 a.m. April 13. When officers arrived they saw damage to a home at the address. Apparently juveniles had been using the house as a place to party and a fight broke out with the occupants in two separate cars exchanging gunfire as they were leaving the area. The cars were described as a white Jeep Cherokee and a white Mitsubishi Eclipse. Officers recovered numerous spent casings in the 6800 Block Locust Street. The front window of the home had been shot out and several more windows were broken out.

ALLEGED STABBER HIDES UNDER TRUCK
A woman contacted 911 to report a disturbance. Officers arrived in the 6700 block of East 72nd Place and noticed a man lying in the yard suffering from stab wounds at 1:53 p.m. April 13. The man's brother pointed to a truck in the driveway and said "He stabbed my brother. Get him!" The officer noticed a man's legs sticking out from under the truck and ordered the man to come out. Officers tried to pull the man out, but he was holding onto the axle of the truck and could not be removed without the aid of a taser. There were several injured parties at the scene and there were conflicting stories. Both men were transported to Denver Health by paramedics. The man who was under the truck was charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
