The Commerce City Police Department has scheduled a community meeting in response to several reports of a peeping tom.
In the past few months, police say they've received several reports of the prowler in the area located between the 6200 to 6600 block of Monaco Street. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 30 and 40 with dark hair and eyes.
The man has been seen looking into the windows of homes, usually between the hours of 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. During the meeting, officers with the police department will discuss the issue and provide safety tips.
Police are asking residents to call 911 if they see a suspicious person or vehicle in the area. Officers also are urging residents to keep doors and windows locked, close curtains in the evening, keep front and rear porch lights on and keep lights on inside the home, even at night.
The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Servants Heart Church, 6405 Monaco St., Commerce City.
