Community invited for food, fun and information
Contributed by: City of Commerce City on 6/5/2008

You don't have to run all over town to find the answers you need. The city has organized Neighborhood Outreaches with the information and resources to help you.

The mayor and City Council invite all residents to attend the upcoming Neighborhood Outreach, June 19 at River Run Park. Council members will be there, along with representatives from local agencies, community resources and city services.

This free community event is fun as well as informative: grab a burger and listen to a live band after visiting the various information tables and interacting with neighbors and city officials.

Do you have a suggestion for improving a service? City staff and officials will be on hand to chat with you one-on-one. Need help finding answers to a health issue? Representatives from the health field will be there to assist you.

You will find information from community agencies, health organizations, mortgage consultants and many other resources. City staff from departments such as Public Works, Parks and Recreation, and Police will be there to help you as well. Information on community resources such as the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge also will be available.

2008 Neighborhood Outreaches are free to attend. This year's events will be held:

  • 6 p.m., Thursday, June 19 at River Run Park, 11515 Oswego St.
  • 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 21 at the Civic Center, 7887 E. 60 th Ave.
