Judges will select four essay winners; winners will receive a certificate of achievement, a $250 savings bond and an invitation to the 2008 CML Conference, held June 20 in Steamboat Springs, where they will receive their award at a luncheon with elected officials from throughout the state.

Essays must be a minimum of 400 words, but no more than 600 words in length. Entries are due to the CML office by Tuesday, April 15. Contestants should mail essays to: Essay Contest, CML, 1144 Sherman St., Denver, Colo., 80203.
