Have you ever thought to yourself, while stuck in traffic on I225 or maybe I70 that you just really hated driving in Colorado traffic and wish , just wish there was something that could be done about it?

Well, if the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) has anything to do with it, you will be stuck in traffic FOREVER.

DRCOG is going going to be getting some stimulus money from the government (our tax dollars) and you know what they are going to use it for? To "enhance" the interchange at I70 and Quebec.

Now, I like nice and pretty looking things, but this is now way to spend this stimulus money. I sat back this morning wondering what would happen if someone were to give me a blank check of tax payers money.... I thought to myself, I would be responsible and widen some highways for the people who depend on them every day to go work and to home and ease some of the congestion and smog.

However, we have elected some of the most stupid people to our governments. They want to make the interchange at I70 and Quebec nice, but they call is "access". What they really don't understand, is that there is ALREADY access, and this is such a waste of our tax dollars. But then again, they have the blank check and can write it for anything they want. They don't need our approval.

Next time you are severely stuck in traffic on I70 and on I225 or even on I25, try to remember who you elected into these government positions, who then decided it was better for you to waste your money on gas and waste your time while sitting on congested highways with the rest of us. Do you think your government is so concerned about public safety? Thing again. Congested highways have more accidents. Congested highways give drivers more frustration and anger causing more accidents. If they thought more about public safety, do you think they would do something about it? Think again, as they want to give "nice" access to the I70 and Quebec area...Nice isn't it...
