City to host Presidents Day trip to slopes

COMMERCE CITY - If you're a serious rider or slider, you don't want to miss what the Commerce City Parks and Recreation Department has waiting for you - a day on the slopes.

With school out for Presidents Day on Monday, Feb. 18, it's the perfect time to join your friends for a day of snowboarding and skiing at Copper Mountain. Register now to save your seat on the bus, which leaves the Recreation Center (6060 Parkway Drive) at 7 a.m. and returns at 7 p.m. 'Boarders and skiers ages 11 to 17 are welcomed to sign up.

Cost for the day is $30 for residents, $32 for nonresidents and includes transportation and a lift ticket. You must have your own equipment, and bring food or money for snacks and lunch.
