February 7, 2009 Metro League State Championships, 40 wrestlers belong to the Adams City Wrestling Club.
The Eagles put together a team effort placing 28 of the 40 wrestlers in the top 6 of their weight class. ACWC put 10 wrestlers into the finals coming away with 6 champions.
Winning tournament titles for the eagles were

Noah Olivas,
Kris Canterberry, and
Nicholas Gallegos.
Also placing in the top six,

Coach
TJ Deaguero had this to say about the team and his feelings for the day, "It was very pleasing to see such a great finish to end the wrestling season for Adams City Wrestling Club."
There were many tough matches to show how much the team learned during the coarse of the season, proving hard work pays off. There is no doubt that these very dedicated wrestlers will continue to contribute to the success of the program for years to come. Congratulations for a tremendous job well done for Adams City Wrestling Club.
