Hatchett graduates from basic combat training

Army Pvt. Bradley N. Hatchett has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

During the nine weeks of training, the soldier studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches, and field training exercises.

He is the son of Jack and Donna Hatchett of Conifer.

Sisters Sarah, 14 and Katie, 16 attend Conifer High School and are members of the choir.

Bradley was a member of the Do Wops at CHS and is now stationed at Fort Campbell in Kentucky. His father drives a school bus for Jeffco and mother Donna is an administrative secretary at the Evergreen Recreation Center.

The private is a 2005 graduate of Conifer High School.
