Conifer cleanup days
Contributed by: Susan Imming on 5/9/2008

Conifer Area Council announcesinaugural community clean-up weekend May 17 and May 18

With the bark beetle epidemic looming upon us and summer just around the corner, we are asking community members to come together to help clean up our community of trash, dead trees, limbs and slash.

Call Forrest Trafton at 303-838-0353 if you would like to help Conifer Rotary with their Adopt-a-Highway Clean-up on May 17. They will meet at 8:30 a.m. near Pleasant Park and U.S. 285. Please call Forrest for directions.

Come to Aspen Perk Coffee House at 8:45 a.m. on May 18 if you would like to help members of Conifer Area Council with our Adopt-a-Highway clean-up.

Talk to your HOA or other neighbors about cleaning up your roads of trash or pulling downed trees and slash to a central location for later hauling to the slash sites or for chipping. Rent a chipper or contractor to do it for you.

Work together with your neighbors to cut down dead trees, to work on forest management practices and so much more.

Please contact Shirley Johnson 303-697-9196 with questions.
