Do you have questions about caring for your lawn or shrubs? Would you like to know what plants grow at high altitude? Master Gardener telephone consultants answer more than 10,000 gardening questions each year and send out fact sheets about hundreds of topics from the challenge of gardening in Colorado
. Jefferson County Master Gardeners can help you with your gardening/lawn landscape to choosing the best plants for your home landscape. Our phones are staffed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. beginning April 1. If your question comes up at other times, just leave a message and we will get right back to you.
The Plant Diagnostic Clinic is the place to get help in the identification and treatment of plant problems. Bring your plants to the clinic and we will identify causes of plant problems, diagnose tospoviruses, insect problems, and supply information on pesticide alternatives. We work not only with homeowners but also with professionals in the green industry such as landscape maintenance, contractors, golf courses, sod growers, and garden centers. We work closely with CSU specialists and agents to ensure a holistic diagnostic approach. The Plant Clinic is located at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
Lawncheck is an on-site evaluation of your lawn and its trouble spots by a professional Colorado State University Extension Horticultural Diagnostician. Weed, water, fertilizer, and disease questions can all be addressed. Have a conversation with the expert about the best management techniques to grow a fantastic lawn.
